Frequently Asked Questions
What is your philosophy about birth?
I believe birth is a sacred, transformative experience—an opportunity for a woman to step into her full power and wisdom. My philosophy is that birth is not a medical event, but a natural, instinctual process. When given the space, respect, and knowledge, women have everything they need to birth their babies in a healthy and beautiful way. My role is to support you in making informed choices, trust your body’s innate wisdom, and provide the encouragement and care you need to create a birth experience that aligns with your desires.
Why do you only offer birth support for home births and birthing center births?
As a traditional doula, my approach is rooted in honoring birth as a sacred, natural process—not a medical event. Home and birth center settings allow for deeper connection, autonomy, and uninterrupted support, which aligns with the kind of care I’m called to offer. These spaces make room for intuition, ancestral practices, and the unique rhythm of each birth. I am able to support you without the interference of rigid protocols, rushed timelines, or unnecessary interventions. By focusing on home and birth center births, I’m able to hold space in alignment with my values and in a way that feels grounded and fully present.
What can I expect during a prenatal visit with you?
Prenatal visits are more than just planning sessions—they are an intentional time for connection and relationship building. As your doula, I’m here to walk with you, not just prepare with you. These visits are a space to slow down, tune in, and be fully seen and heard.
We’ll talk through your hopes, options, and questions, and hold space to process thoughts, emotions, and past experiences that may be present. Whether it’s practical planning or soulful reflection, our time together is about deepening trust and creating a foundation of support that carries into your birth.Do you offer virtual doula services?
Yes! While I primarily serve the Vero Beach area, I offer virtual doula services for clients outside of my local area. This can include prenatal support, birth planning guidance, and postpartum check-ins. Virtual support is a wonderful option for those who may not have access to in-person doula services or for those who prefer remote guidance.
What are your birth packages, and how do I know which one is right for me?
I offer three thoughtfully designed packages to suit your unique needs:
- The Rooted Beginnings Package: Pregnancy support only
- The Sacred Birth Package: Pregnancy + Birth support
- The Full Circle Package: Pregnancy, Birth + Postpartum support
Each package is customizable based on your preferences, so we can discuss which option best supports your vision for birth and motherhood. I recommend setting up a consultation where we can discuss your needs in more detail.
How do I get in touch with you to book a consultation or ask more questions?
I would love to connect with you! You can reach out to me via the contact form on my website, or send me a direct message on Instagram. I offer free consultations where we can talk about your vision for birth and how I can best support you.
What is a doula, and what do you do?
A doula provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother (and her partner) before, during, and after childbirth. As a traditional doula,, I offer a nurturing and intuitive approach that respects the autonomy and instincts of each mother. My role is to help you feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way—without interfering with your birth process. I provide prenatal care, birth support, and postpartum guidance that centers on your unique needs and desires.
What is the difference between a traditional doula and other types of doulas?
The primary difference lies in the approach. Traditional doulas walk with you through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum—offering care that’s rooted in connection, intuition, and trust. Their support is less about protocols and more about presence—honoring the natural rhythms of your body and the wisdom of birth. I am committed to empowering you to make informed decisions and to respecting your autonomy in the birth experience.
Why would I choose a doula for my pregnancy and birth?
Having a doula provides continuous, personalized support that can make a huge difference in your birth experience. Studies have shown that doulas can help reduce the need for medical interventions, decrease the length of labor, and improve overall satisfaction with the birth process. As your doula, I am there to help you feel confident, supported, and heard. My support is not just for labor, but for you as a whole person navigating this sacred transition.

Your partner plays an integral role in your birth experience, and I am here to support both of you. I offer guidance on comfort measures, communication techniques, and how to best support you through each phase of labor. I also make sure your partner has the space to connect with you emotionally and physically during the birth. I consider myself a team member, helping to ensure that both of you are confident, relaxed, and able to enjoy the experience in your own way.
What is the benefit of postpartum doula support?
Postpartum doula support is essential for the emotional and physical well-being of the mother during the fourth trimester—the transformative and sometimes challenging period after birth. I provide emotional support, breastfeeding guidance, help with newborn care, and help you process your birth experience. I also support you in adjusting to the changes that come with motherhood, offering nourishment, rest, and guidance as you heal and bond with your baby. My goal is to nurture you so you can nurture your baby.
Do I need a doula if I’m planning a hospital birth or want an epidural?
Absolutely! While I do not currently attend hospital births myself, I believe that every woman deserves to have her birth experience honored, no matter where or how she chooses to give birth. Whether you’re planning a home birth, birth center birth, or hospital birth. A doula is there to ensure that you are fully informed of your options, help you communicate with your care team, and create a calm, nurturing environment, regardless of where your birth unfolds. If you are planning a hospital birth I know wonderful doulas who do attend hospital births and I would be happy to connect you with them!
